• All dancers must take a 1 hour Jazz Tech class, 1 hour Ballet Tech class and a 1 hour stretch/conditioning class. These classes are mandatory.

• Competitive dancers are only permitted to miss 3 classes per year, unless it is for medical reasons. 

• Our competitive team will be attending 3 to 4 competitions per year. Dancers are not permitted to miss a competition.

• Being part of the competitive team requires a certain level of commitment and dedication. Dancer must be ready to work hard and push themselves to the max.

• Dance styles that are offered in the competitive program are:  

  • Jazz

  • Ballet

  • Lyrical

  • Contemporary

  • Hip Hop

  • Tap

  • Acro

  • Musical Theatre    

  • Open        

• All dancers will have minimum of 1 groups choreography. Solo/duo/trio/small groups are given based on auditions. These numbers are offered to dancers who show a high level of commitment as well as work ethic. At JB Danceworkz it is always earned, never given. 

• The competitive program also offers add-on classes such as :

  • Pointe (by invitation only-decided at auditions)​

  • Acro Tech (Mandatory to any dancer that is offered a acro choreography)

  • Tap Tech (Mandatory to any dancer that is offered a Tap choreography)

  • A.D.A.P.T Jazz preparation class
